As a photographer, light and color are very important to me. I love the way light and color interplay in this piece, and the title is a perfect fit. The clean, cool light of dawn reaches in, while the outdoors is already being touched by the warmer light of morning. The couple is blissfully unaware of the day waking up around them, and the feeling is of a peaceful wonder. The little touches of accessories on the sill are lovely, as well as the highlights in her hair. If I looked at this for an hour I might find something I don't like, but as of right now? Can't think of a thing I would want you to change.
Wow. This is probably one of the most well detailed portraits I have ever seen. I like the shading and how it reflects off of the characters, a nice bit of realism in something I can tell was influenced by Animaniacs or Disney. I like the subtle touches around the room [such as the IPhone on the charger, the glasses next to the windowsill, the empty coffee cup]. And most of all, I love the emotion in this scene. Without saying a word, you've given these two a well-established relationship, some subtle air of normality and a LOT of detail, both in their fur and their surroundings.
