Artist's Comments

This one was a ton of fun - the theme I was given was Old West meets Far East, with a mischievous coyote placed in a tavern setting... It was great playing with the ambience of the room. I tried to control the palette to really convey the overall temperature and imagined humidity of the environment - and the dust drifting through the door in the background turned out to be a crucial detail, to me. I also like the katana swords with the handles stylized as old-fashioned pistol grips. A commission I did for QuickXyk, who along with his coyote character, can be found here: [link]

I hold my ground,
and don't make a sound.
I'm silence and stealth,
a wolf and proud.
I run with the wind,
and howl at the moon.
I sing with the stars,
a slow haunting tune.

They say the eyes of a wolf transfix you.

It's true.

HAHAHAH!! For the that I see, the fox will have a dosage of his own poison! He should observe more their backs and to boast less of his smartness! Anybody more it repaired in the letter hides in his tail? I liked the scenery a lot! A saloon mixture + Chinese restaurant! The sword was a good touch to the scenery. The fox made to think me in Rhett Buttleer! I am having a sudden will of seeing " Gone with the Wind "!
:iconpozem:

Whoa! I can see a lot of detailing being poured out into this pic and I'm impressed on how well it turned out. Also I noticed that the colors are very Western-like although it needs more browns to make it western. But I like how this turned out in the end.

You did great.

Absolutely stunning. I love the way you captured the environment; I nearly feel like I'm there! I particularly like the composition. :D
:iconmeisterli:
Wow, this is amazing. All the little details, the colors... It's just amazing! And it feels so alive! Rarely you're able to see something that just... Hits you and makes you feel like it could leap out of the screen or start to move right on this spot. This is amazing!
:iconbanditringtail3:
Hah! :XD: I love this! The coyote's out-smarting a fox! And one who may be stacking the deck it seems!

=) I love your art. Can I borrow your skills? ^^; I'll bring 'em back; promise!
