Another of the old commissions for Haloth of his character the winged Clydesdale. He’s depicted in the setting of Anduruna here, perched up where any sane creature with wings and a sense of style would perch - the Sabbaton Towers. Perhaps the original architects knew not to include gargoyles, so as to make more space for actual roosting characters. Anyways, that’s the only excuse I can think of to exclude gargoyles - in my opinion, every building ever made should be bristling with them. Important rule to live by, you can never have too many sculptures on your building. I like how the contrast between this and the previous Haloth commission turned out - the open, sunny skies as opposed to this oppressive storm. The dark skies does provide a much better atmosphere for contemplation. And now, for a list of Things that would Totally Change the Mood:
Haloth with a bottle of Jack Daniels. Haloth with a sniper rifle and a stack of photos with the eyes cut out. Haloth with a magic wand and a bag of teeth. A small dog leaping and yapping at the bottom of the picture, but unable to climb up higher to bite. The cityscape below being bathed in flickering destruction with flaming 747 careening by. A lever by Haloth’s hand and an Acme springboard under his hooves.
Actually, and I'm not sure you can find these, but you should look up the Gargoyles of Denver International Airport. There's, I believe six of them, and they were commissioned to help protect passengers from the difficulties of air travel. Each one of them is humorous as you might expect.
Lovely effect and lighting. Beautiful.
be like an 8 and half foot giant flying over your head
I like the rain and the city at the background!
now I know that hand drawn rain is better
