Springtime in the Starfall mountains; The snow is melting, leaves and flowers are sprouting, and the ryuu-nekos are at play.
This is another commission for Makoto and Sapphire from our recent (2008-2009) run of commissioning. It was a lot of fun being able to work with one of the settings from the Dreamkeepers books, much less the ‘nekos. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever had the time to sit down and do a real ryuu-neko illustration before, with interactions and backgrounds. Everything previously was basically just finished concept work for reference, so this commission was really a treat to work with.

Makoto the silver-phase fox and Sapphire the blue-diamonded cat belong to their owners, and can be found at: [link] or [link]
They also make an appearance in Volume 2.

Amazing, Incredible picture. I especially love the interaction of the Ryuu-nekos, god their so damn adorable I can't bear to hate it! You have quite the talent with your work, I look forward to Volume 3. Actually, I plan on getting the ones available right now.

Ahhh. The nice romantic spot full of ryuu-nekos. And plant life. :) Reminds me of the rather peacefull clearing from anotherworld...

No plush versions in the near future here - but after Volume 3 is done, I'm hoping we might be able to expand our merchandise offerings somehow, and plushies are one of my wish-list items. :)
