I've finally gotten a big chunk taken out of my commission workload - I'm going to start putting the finished art up periodically here, as I get to work on round two.

Here we have a badger! I got to draw him in a cave, which was fun - especially with the lighting and everything, dim lighting just creates so many possibilities for atmosphere... I need to get better at doing caves, though - this is a good start, but caves have so many sweet features and formations... Especially when I can work within a fantasy realm, and start elaborating on the form and texture that reality offers.

Daily DeviationThere are many things that make 'Subterranean Badger' by *Dreamkeepers DD worthy. These include, but are certainly not limited to, the attention to detail like the glittering, light reflecting rocks, the interesting use of light and shadows which creates fantastic colours and, of course, that incredible expression! The expression really shows the character that this guy has, I love it! (Suggested by ~Neko-daewen and Featured by `skifi)

It's amazing. I love the shading that you do . . . but it kinda looks like you used the burn tool for this one?
I probably asked this question about a hunfred times already but I never get bored of hearing a good explanation. 8D

Holy badger O_o that's.. incredible... as usual ^^;
hehe I think I'm most surprised by the fact that the first thing you care to mention is that you need to get better at caves. In my head I'm going "but .... it's perfect..." so I can just imagine what kind of wonders you'll come up with, later in time :excited:

Oh and sorry I haven't replied to that email yet. I've been out of it for a while and college just started as well >< I'll get to it soon though.

FELINE SUPREMACY!!!
Cor. Fun pose and expression there, and its a badger, so what's not to love? Everything comes together from those workboots to the miner cap. Just seems like something I'd like to hang in my room 'cause it makes me snicker inside.

A very well done piece. Interesting pose you chose there. Great work with the lighting and colours!

As I see in life, there are four types of people; *Optimists - 'The glass is half full...' *Pessimists - 'The glass is half empty...' *Opportunists - 'The glass will be empty when I'm finished with it...' *Realists - 'Either way, I'm stuck washing up...'
Nice. I love his pose and expression. Nice job :D

So he fell in love with her and her pure radiant white beauty. He the collision of light and dark, good and evil, in a single body. She the shining goddess of the moon and a warrior of light. Maybe she could light his dark soul.
