When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Here we have a badger, North American style! I got to draw him in a cave, which allowed me to indulge in fantasies of spelunking prowess. It was a fun setting to work in, especially with the dim lighting generating a nice atmospheric effect. This is a good start, but I want to get better at illustrating cave settings. Real caverns are already furnished with luxurious formations, so using that as a springboard for fantasy illustrations should yield exceptionally fun results. Daily DeviationGiven 2008-10-02There are many things that make 'Subterranean Badger' by *Dreamkeepers DD worthy. These include, but are certainly not limited to, the attention to detail like the glittering, light reflecting rocks, the interesting use of light and shadows which creates fantastic colours and, of course, that incredible expression! The expression really shows the character that this guy has, I love it! (Suggested by =Neko-daewen and Featured by `skifi) |

hehe I think I'm most surprised by the fact that the first thing you care to mention is that you need to get better at caves. In my head I'm going "but .... it's perfect..." so I can just imagine what kind of wonders you'll come up with, later in time
Oh and sorry I haven't replied to that email yet. I've been out of it for a while and college just started as well >< I'll get to it soon though.

As I see in life, there are four types of people; *Optimists - 'The glass is half full...' *Pessimists - 'The glass is half empty...' *Opportunists - 'The glass will be empty when I'm finished with it...' *Realists - 'Either way, I'm stuck washing up...'

I hold my ground,
and don't make a sound.
I'm silence and stealth,
a wolf and proud.
I run with the wind,
and howl at the moon.
I sing with the stars,
a slow haunting tune.
They say the eyes of a wolf transfix you.
It's true.
