This ten page story was originally created to be included in the “Furnation Magazine Issue #9“, which is now out of print. Copies of the magazine may still be available at www.furnation.com or at their in-person table at Anthrocon, but be warned some of the other stories are very adult-themed. Only inquire if you are prepared for animal naughtiness.

Less adult themed, our story is more in the ‘monsters chasing Dreamkeepers‘ genre, in case you were wondering what to expect. Although printed black and white in the magazine, the pages were originally done in color, because honestly, what else could we do? It’s Dreamkeepers, I’m not sure if it’s possible to avoid saturating every scene with chroma.

We’ve been meaning to post these pages online for some time now, but had to an urge to do some rewriting first.

For those who own a copy of the magazine, you’ll have a chance to look at an equivalent rough draft of our dialogue go to a more polished, fun version. For those who don‘t, the original first page is here:
[link] At the time we submitted this story to the magazine, we were a bit pressed for time, being in the midst of Volume 2 production. But having a year or two to reflect on the story, dialogue improvements seemed inexorable.

So here you go! This 10-page bit of story does fit in with the graphic novel storyline, but it’s obviously quite a stretch down the road from where we are now. We hope you enjoy!
